The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a licensed diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you – particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.
No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through a Try dive.

As a scuba diver you are certified to dive, when accompanied with a Padi professional, to a maximum depth of 12m. The upgrade teaches students how to become a more independent diver. In just 2 days you can upgrade to a Padi open water certification, allowing you to dive to 18 meters, anywhere in the world. All you need to complete is the final 2 theory sessions, 2 skill sessions in shallow water and 2 open water dives.

Program: 4 open water dives
The PADI open water referral course lets you complete all of the theory modules and the Scuba skills training sessions at home, with a PADI dive center or PADI instructor of your choice. All you have to do then, is complete the 4 open water dives in the crystal clear waters of Aqaba. You should bring a printed referral form, which proofs, that you completed all required theory sessions and skill sessions in confined water. After only 2 days diving in the magical underwater world of the Red Sea; with your PADI instructor, you could easily be a qualified open water diver. You are now ready for some serious diving in the Red Sea, up to 18 meters. Chances are that you are going to spend the rest of your holiday diving !
